SERVICES

Psychological services for thoughtful choices and professional development

From independent psychological research and assessments to coaching, training, and temporary behavioral expertise: Wichard Assessment & Development supports organizations, teams, professionals, and private individuals with issues where behavior, responsibility, and professional performance come together.

Every assignment starts with a clear question. The approach is tailored to the individual, the organization, and the cultural and professional context. Clear, well-founded conclusions and recommendations are provided that are also practical and applicable.

Research and Assessment

Independent interpretation as the basis for a responsible decision

Wichard Assessment & Development conducts psychological assessments and specialized psychological evaluations for organizations, professionals, and private individuals. The specific question determines which research methods are required. Psychological instruments are always combined with professional interpretation and attention to the cultural, organizational, and personal context.

Psychological assessments

Psychological assessments can be used for selection and appointment, promotion, career and vocational choices, retraining, development questions, or issues related to professional performance. The focus is not only on what someone is capable of, but especially on how someone functions: behavior, personality, resilience, performance under pressure, and fit with the work context.

An assessment may consist of psychological tests, an in-depth interview and, where relevant, a practical case study. The results are interpreted by a psychologist and recorded in a clear and independent report with concrete conclusions and development or advisory points.

Specialized psychological assessment

Assessment for Firearm Authorization

This assessment is intended for organizations and individual applicants who are applying for or renewing a firearm authorization. It focuses on cognitive functioning, personality, psychological stability, emotion regulation, and judgment, insofar as these are relevant to carrying this responsibility.

The assessment consists of psychological instruments and a personal interview. The findings are recorded in a professional and independent report for the competent authority.

Assessment of Decision-Making Capacity

This assessment is carried out when there is doubt as to whether someone can oversee a legally, financially, or socially important decision. The evaluation is linked to a specific decision and the context in which it is made.

Careful attention is paid to understanding relevant information, foreseeing consequences, weighing options, judgment, and the ability to communicate a choice. The findings are recorded in a clear and independent report.

Coaching and Organizational Development

Not every issue calls for psychological assessment. Sometimes temporary expertise, targeted coaching, or a team intervention is more appropriate. The focus is always on gaining insight, enhancing professional performance, and achieving concrete improvements in daily practice.

Interim behavioral expertise

Flexible support for complex cases, team dynamics, and organizational issues. Support may include case consultations, psychological interpretation, peer consultation, substantive advice, and guidance on professional and methodological practice.

For complex decision-making, the Decision Accountability Framework can be used to carefully structure and document relevant facts, interests, uncertainties, and considerations. Support can be provided online, on-site, or in a hybrid format.

Psychological Support and Coaching

Short-term, goal-oriented support for private individuals and professionals dealing with emotional strain, work-related stress, communication issues, and personal or professional dilemmas. In a safe and confidential setting, the focus is on developing insight, emotion regulation, decision-making, and effective action.

Training, Team Building and Lectures

Psychologically grounded and practice-oriented programs on topics such as communication, collaboration, leadership, emotion regulation, conflict management, decision-making under pressure and professional role stability. The content is tailored to the target group, context and objectives, and can be offered in Dutch, English or Papiamentu.

Decision Accountability Framework (DAF)

Clear considerations. Traceable decisions.

In complex professional decisions, not only the outcome matters, but also how that outcome was reached. The Decision Accountability Framework (DAF) supports professionals and organizations in systematically and transparently documenting relevant facts, interests, uncertainties, alternatives, and considerations.

DAF does not prescribe an outcome and does not replace existing professional methods, procedures, or legal frameworks. It helps to make visible what was known at the time of decision-making, which considerations were made, and how uncertainty was handled.

DAF is particularly useful when:

  • a decision has consequences for others;

  • different interests or perspectives need to be weighed;

  • decisions are made under time pressure or with incomplete information;

  • a decision must later be explained, evaluated, or handed over.

DAF can be used in consulting, complex casework, team reflection, training, and in the evaluation or transfer of professional decisions.

Check-in: professional monitoring of employability

The Check-In is a brief, periodic tool for organizations in which mental alertness, emotion regulation, and decision-making under pressure are essential for safe and responsible performance.

Employees complete the Check-In digitally via a secure platform. The responses are professionally assessed, after which appropriate and proportionate follow-up is provided when necessary.

The Check-In:

  •  is signaling and preventive in nature;

  •  is not a diagnostic or therapeutic instrument;

  •  does not assess suitability;

  •  supports timely and proportionate follow-up;

  •  can be part of a careful employability policy and an organization’s duty of care.

This Is How We Work

1. Clarifying the request

In an initial conversation, the background, the request, the parties involved, and the desired outcome are mapped out. It is not necessary to know in advance exactly which service is the best fit.

2. Tailored approach

A proposal is provided outlining the scope, approach, schedule, and agreements on communication, confidentiality, and reporting. The chosen methods are aligned with the objective of the assignment.

3. Execution and feedback

The assignment is carried out with care and completed with clear feedback, reporting, or practical advice. Where appropriate, the next steps are also discussed.

Not sure which service best fits your needs? You do not need to have your question fully defined in advance. During an initial consultation, we will clarify your needs and determine the most suitable approach.
